Community Education at 10 HSIs

by Carol Sandoval

Educating 24% of undergraduate students and 44% of low-income students, community colleges play an important role in educating the next generation of leaders (ccidinc.org). At community colleges, students can attain 2-year transferable degrees,  job skills, and personal enrichment. In addition to the formal degrees they grant, community colleges also provide their communities with not-for-credit courses that allow them to learn new skills and trades at low costs. Today’s MSI Line Up features ten Hispanic Serving Institutions committed to educating their local community.
